Aakneson is a collaborative project featuring Norman Meehan and Hannah Griffin with musicians Blair Latham, Andrew Laking and Lance Philip. The collaboration extends to include poet Bill Manhire and producer Neil Aldridge.

Their first recording together, Bifrost, is a song cycle concerned with ancient Norse themes. It is released by Rattle Records.
